There is still time to join our partner team by the end of the year and make an eternal impact in the lives of orphans in Monterrey. Join Us!
Anticipation. This season is virtually bursting with it. Children awaiting brightly colored packages tucked neatly beneath a glittering tree. Families planning long awaited reunions with loved ones. And the greatest anticipation of them all, the coming of a Savior. The one for whom centuries of people waited and on whom our eternal future rested. During this Christmas season, we feel deeply that anticipation. It is also mingled with a different kind of anticipation. We are longing to be with those whom God has called us to serve.
This past week our Facebook feed has been filled with pictures of the children we serve getting ready to celebrate this season. Little children, dressed in newly gifted pajamas, snuggled together on a tile floor watching Charlie Brown Christmas in Spanish. Older orphans, planning games and wrapping presents for the younger children. A precious little one, asleep holding the Christmas letter she was sent from her sponsor. And the best way I can describe the feeling that overcomes me, is that same feeling of anticipation you may be feeling right now. That one you felt as a child awaiting Christmas morning. The deep longing and excitement in your heart for what you know is to come.
During this season, we pray for you, that your celebration of the Saviors birth would be full of joy. We are a blessed people to serve a God who was willing to send His only son, to be born as a tiny baby, fully God, yet fully man. To dwell with us. Emmanuel.
