This week the van I was driving was broken into. At the time, I was picking up supplies to lead a group project at one of our teen homes at a large home supply store that had security officers for the store in a better part of town. My backpack, which was hidden out of view, was stolen. It was full of many items. The group was so kind and empathetic. They prayed for me and encouraged me throughout the day. They then donated money towards replacing my bag and most of my items inside. It feels good when I see the body of Christ supporting each other in this way. Thank you for your hearts and generosity towards me this week.
Summer is a busy time for us as well as the few summer-planning months leading up to summer. We have hundreds of short term mission trip guests throughout the summer. Sometimes over 100 per week. Bethany is staying busy with all the medical needs from sneezes to stitches. She also debriefs groups at the end of their days. Kevin is staying busy with leading groups on campus in building and maintenance projects along with his other regular responsibilities. Both of us are spending lots of time with interns as we are in charge of the summer interns here on campus. We regularly post pictures of family and ministry on Facebook, so make sure we are friends.
Regular briefings on our time in Mexico.
