Support raising is much the same. Even though God has faithfully provided so many people to join as partners and support the ministry to which He has called us, there is so much more still to be done. Even as people say yes and join in support, I see the amount still needed to be raised. It’s like looking up into the trees after so much work has already been done and seeing so many leaves have yet to fall.
The leaves left on the trees will fall though and the work will be complete just before the beauty of the white snow floats down commencing winter. The rest of the support needed will come also. There is work left to do, but we can faithfully trust that God will provide to His work and will give us the strength to complete our part of the work. The support will be provided in just the right time for us to begin the beautiful work of being God’s hands, feet, and voice to the fatherless and disadvantaged in the Monterrey orphanages in which we will minister.
Though I’d love for all the leaves to quickly fall and the work to be done, I would miss out on the beauty God still has for me during this current season. There are still joyful times of playing with my kids in the leaves and the beauty of God’s colorfully painted canvas above my head. God’s timing is best, and I desire to fully embrace His work for us on this journey to get to Mexico. Therefore, I continue to enjoy this season of raising a team of support around us, though I look ahead with joy to what still lies before us.
